During a meeting of lyricists held on September 22, association president Cheran and other office-bearers met Sivakarthikeyan and invited him to participate in an upcoming association event. Accepting the invitation, the actor has also become a member of the association as a lyricist.
Writing lyrics is not entirely new territory for Sivakarthikeyan. Over the years, he has penned lyrics for several popular film songs, including “Kalyana Vayasu” from Kolamaavu Kokila, “Edakku Modakku” from Nai Sekar, Vijay’s “Arabic Kuthu” from Beast, and “Summa Surrunu” from Suriya’s Etharkkum Thunindhavan. His involvement in these songs has already established his interest in lyric writing alongside his acting career.
His formal entry into the writers’ association now marks another step in his journey as a lyricist. During his interaction with the association’s office-bearers, Sivakarthikeyan is also said to have shared some suggestions regarding the association’s activities.
