Soundararajan, a world record holder who travelled around the world on a bicycle and won several gold medals in various fields, has now met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) president Vijay.
For more than 30 years, Soundararajan has been consistently involved in social welfare activities and has extended various forms of assistance to people in need. A student of former Director General of Police (DGP) Walter Devaram, he earned the respect of former Tamil Nadu Chief Ministers Kalaignar M. Karunanidhi and J. Jayalalithaa. Both former Chief Ministers appreciated his achievements and contributions to social welfare.
It is also noteworthy that Soundararajan worked alongside former DGP Walter Devaram in effectively carrying out various activities of the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu. He has consistently contributed to the development of sports and the encouragement of young sporting talents.
His meeting with Vijay, the president of TVK and Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has brought happiness among members of the sporting community and young achievers. The meeting with a personality who has accomplished numerous feats is also seen as a source of inspiration and encouragement for the younger generation aspiring to achieve excellence in sports and other fields.
