A new film directed by Raam Na, who previously worked as an assistant director to filmmaker Ameer, is set to be produced by Aparajeeth Films, with music composed by the legendary Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja. Produced by Ganesh Raghu, who is based in the United States, the yet-to-be-titled film marks the production house’s third venture following the successful films Nandha, directed by Bala and starring Suriya and Laila, and Mounam Pesiyadhe, directed by Ameer and featuring Suriya and Trisha.
Aparajeeth Films made a significant mark in Tamil cinema with Nandha, directed by Bala and starring Suriya and Laila. The film achieved considerable success and established the production house as a notable name in the industry. The banner subsequently introduced Ameer as a director with Mounam Pesiyadhe, starring Suriya and Trisha, which also received a strong response from audiences. Continuing its association with promising filmmaking talent, producer Ganesh Raghu is now backing Raam Na, who previously worked under Ameer, as a director for this new project.
The film began with an auspicious pooja ceremony in Chennai, and shooting is scheduled to continue in Coimbatore from November 2026. The launch ceremony featured several distinguished personalities from the Tamil film industry. Director Cheran called out “Clap In,” actor and director Sasikumar announced “Camera On,” Ameer clapped the slate, and director Bala called out “Action” before filming the first shot himself. Director S. A. Chandrasekhar, actor Sivakumar, producer Amma Creations Siva, Poornima Bhagyaraj and director Karu Pazhaniappan were among those who attended the event.
While Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the music for Nandha and Mounam Pesiyadhe, this new production marks the first time Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja will compose music for an Aparajeeth Films project. Featuring an emotionally moving storyline and an inspiring screenplay, the film brings together an experienced team of technicians. Vanchi Murugesan will handle cinematography, Bharathan will write the dialogues, Balu Mahendra will oversee art direction, and Boopathy Vedagiri will handle editing. Meera will take care of costume design, Balu Stills will handle still photography, Palani Amavasai will oversee wardrobe, and Harish will be responsible for sound mixing. Nikhil Murugan will handle public relations, Gopi Prasanna will design the publicity materials, and Vijayakumar R. S. and Kasi Varman will oversee executive production.
The names of the film’s lead actors are expected to be officially announced soon. With this third production, Aparajeeth Films continues its commitment to identifying and encouraging talented directors and artists by providing opportunities for emerging creative professionals.
