From Gummidipoondi to Kanyakumari, a large-scale public opinion survey will be conducted across all 234 Assembly constituencies of Tamil Nadu under the banner “VOICE of DEMOCRACY.” The initiative, titled POLITICAL VOICE, is being organized by the SOUTH INDIAN VOICE English and Tamil weekly magazine and its digital platform.
The survey is designed to reach voters at the grassroots level across the state. It will cover villages, town panchayats, municipalities, and corporations, extending down to individual wards and hamlets. In each constituency, 100 voters will be selected to participate. In rural areas, one respondent will represent each hamlet or village, while in urban and semi-urban areas, one participant will be chosen from each ward.

The study will seek voters’ opinions on their respective MLAs’ performance over the past five years. Questions will focus on public outreach, constituency development works, accessibility, and contributions inside the Assembly. Voters will also be asked about their expectations, as well as key issues that were addressed and those that remain unresolved.
Based on the responses from 100 participants in each constituency, a detailed performance score and electoral prospects of the sitting MLA for the 2026 Assembly elections will be analyzed and published. The findings will be released in the SOUTH INDIAN VOICE English and Tamil weekly editions and on its official website. Stay tuned.
