In Tamil cinema, Sivakarthikeyan has gained immense support from women, children, and fans, similar to MGR and Rajinikanth. In a very short span since his entry into cinema, he has become a household name in Tamil Nadu, much like Rajinikanth. After MGR and Rajinikanth, Sivakarthikeyan is the one who has created a brotherly impact among female fans. His continuous successes and choice of films have resonated beyond fan circles, establishing a deep brotherly connection that can be seen in the response to his movies.

Within just a few hours of the start of advance bookings, his films have seen pre-booking levels on par with Rajinikanth’s movies, a trend that began with Remo. This consistent growth and success demonstrate his steady rise. Notably, the opening that actors like Ajith and Vijay received after 20 years of their career came to him within five years. Although Ajith and Vijay have significant fan bases, Sivakarthikeyan is heading towards a position closer to Rajinikanth’s legacy, particularly in terms of family audience support. The pre-booking trend that started with Remo peaked with Doctor, which, surprisingly, surpassed Rajinikanth’s Kaala in advance bookings. To date, Sivakarthikeyan remains the only actor to surpass a Rajinikanth film in this regard. His film Seemaraja had an opening that outshone other actors except for Rajinikanth. With Don, he became the first actor after Rajinikanth to deliver a film that grossed over 100 crore at the producer’s level. After Don, he continued to solidify his place with hits like Maaveeran and Ayalaan. Now, with the film Amaran, produced in collaboration with Raaj Kamal Films and Sony Pictures, he has set a new benchmark. Within just a few hours, Amaran has recorded 10,000 ticket pre-bookings, released on this Diwali, in Chennai alone, and over 100,000 tickets have been pre-booked for the first day. This reaffirms his journey as the “Emperor” of advance bookings.
